WEE HUR HOLDINGS LTD W121027
For those holding the above company warrant, maybe it is time to consider converting them to shares. The record date for their upcoming dividend entitlement is as follows:
WEE HUR HOLDINGS LTD. - 3 Sep 2010, 5pm. Interim dividend 1cts per share
Though the warrant expires on 27 OCT 2012, there seem to be no time value in it as it currently trades at around 30cts below the mother shares, which is almost the same as its exercise price (i.e. 30cts).
The main reason I guess is because the warrant is currently deeply in the money, the time value of the warrant is almost zero. Which means, the intrinsic value of the warrant is simply market value of the warrant + exercise price.
For long term investors of Wee Hur, I guess it is time to convert.

shifu,
ask u huh,
is it good to exercise the shitzen, err i mean saizen warrant to take the dividend?
does it mean that for EVERY warrant, where the mother share provides dividend, it is good to exercise it? under which circumstance we shd do that, n under which circumstance we shdn't do that? (assume long term investment)
Rgds
George
Hi newbie_george,
As explained in my posting, for those warrants that have little or no time value, it is better to exercise and convert them to shares, especially if there is a good dividend coming soon.
For Saizen, since the dividend that is being declared is not so much, I would not be tempted to exercise it at this moment.
shifu,
i see the shitzen (saizen) announcement... so many people exercise the wahlan... now only left me n shifu holding the wahlan?
Hi newbie_george,
I guess I am not comfortable with Saizen currently to convert the warrants to shares. As I have limited funds available every month for investment, I need to deploy them carefully.
The dividend declared is not a lot to tempt me to exercise the warrants. But I might consider seriously to exercise them if they declared the next dividend payout. :)
