My Investment Portfolio (July 2026)

STI ended July at 5628 points, up around 9% for the month, lifted by the banks. Markets had been focused initially on jobs and then PPI data in US and its effect on interest rate in the upcoming US Fed meeting. Also, the Middle East situation remains fluid as US launched fresh attacks on Iran and said the ceasefire was over. Meanwhile, Tech sector weakness towards the end of the month contributed to more concerns on spending and debt for AI related stocks and competition from China. Volatility in the markets had increased as compared to last month.

For my top 30 holdings this month, it had been a mixed list of performance. Great Eastern, OCBC and SingTel returned to the list, replacing Far East Orchard, Koh Brothers and Straits Trading. Main contributors include UOB Kay Hian, DBS and EnGro. Detractors include Frencken, Sembcorp Industries and PM Data.

I have bought the following companies from the market this month - Anchun, AvePoint, Banyan Group, Bonvests, Bukit Sembawang Estates, Bund Center, Captii, Casa, ComfortDelgro, Credit Bureau Asia, Delfi, EnGro, F&N, First Sponsor, Heeton, Hiap Tong, HL Global, Ho Bee Land, Hock Lian Seng, Hong Fok, Hong Leong Finance, Hosen, Hotel Grand Central, Hotel Royal, IFS Capital, Indofood Agri, Intraco, IPC Corp, Jardine C&C, Karin, Koh Brothers, KSH, Metro, Mewah, MYP, Nippecraft, OUE, PNE Industries, Pollux, Raffles Medical, Sin Heng, Sing Holdings, Singapore Shipping, Singapura Finance, Straco, Straits Trading, Tuan Sing, Wing Tai, Yeo Hiap Seng and YHI. No sale trade was done.

I have participated in the following scrip dividend scheme - ISDN.

Next month will be another financial reporting season, with companies having financial year ending 31 December 2026 will continue reporting their half year results. As usual, I will be going through some of those results. I will also continue to re-invest dividends received slowly back into the markets, while remaining prudent in deploying them during these volatile times.
