My Investment Portfolio (May 2011)

May 2011 was another quiet month. Eurozone crisis was in the news again, but these were really old news rather than new ones.

For my top 30 stock holdings, there is not much changes, except for a new entry - Fragrance Group. News of another round of bonus issue pushed the counter into my top 30 holdings. I have also added onto my stake in Singapura Finance this month.

I have bought the following companies from the open market this month using mostly funds from dividend payout for companies with financial year ending 31 December 2010 collected in May - Bonvests, Chemical Industries, Del Monte, Eastern Holdings, Food Junction, Forland Fabrictech, Hotel Grand Central, Hiap Hoe, Hong Fok, IFS, Intraco, JLJ Holdings, MSC, Multi-Chem, Noel Gifts, OUE, Oxley, PCA Tech, PSC Corp, Singapura Finance, Sakae Holdings, Singapore Reinsurance, Superior Multi-Packaging, Thai Village, UIC and Wing Tai.

I have participated in the following scrip dividend schemes - Jardine Strategic, Jardine Matheson and United Overseas Australia. I have also accepted the following takeover offers - Kim Eng Holdings and JK Yaming.

Next month, I will continue to re-invest my dividend collected in May back into the market. There is a cash drag in my portfolio currently as I couldn't re-invest those dividend collected back into the market as soon as I would have liked.

My Investment Portfolio (April 2011)

April was quite a quiet month in terms of news across the global front. However, election fever hots up in Singapore and trading volumes had been low since Nomination Day. Obviously, investors had been attending rallies and following election news rather than trading the market.

For my top 30 stock holdings, there is not much changes, except for a new entry - OKP Holdings. I had increased my stake in the company due to conversion of its warrants to shares, in anticipation of its upcoming dividend payout.

I have bought the following companies from the open market this month - Casa Holdings, Forland Fabrictech, Hotel Grand Central, Hiap Hoe, Hong Fok, LHT Holdings, Multi-Chem, PCA Tech, PNE Industries, Sakae Holdings, Sing Investments, Straco and Superior Multi-Packaging.

To take advantage of the upcoming dividend payout from companies after the AGMs, I have converted the following deeply in-the-money company warrants to shares - Allied Tech, Juken Tech, Natural Cool, Old Chang Kee and Riverstone. I have also participated in the following rights issues - Cambridge REIT.

Next month, most companies with financial year ending 31 December 2010 will start paying out their final dividend to shareholders. I will continue to adopt value investing to prudently re-invest those dividend payout back into the market.
