My Investment Portfolio (October 2026)

STI ended October at 5376 points, down around 5.2% for the month. Rising US Treasury yields and elevated oil prices continue to reignite inflation concerns by the markets. Sell-off in technology and semiconductor stocks grew as investors were increasingly concerned over the sustainability of AI-related investments. Volatility in the markets had also increased as compared to last month.

For my top 30 holdings this month, most holdings tracked the market down. SingTel returned to the list, replacing JMSEA (formerly known as Jardine C&C). Main contributors include Hong Fok, Hotel Properties and Bukit Sembawang Estates. Detractors include The Hour Glass, UOB Kay Hian and Frencken.

I have bought the following companies from the market this month - ABR, Anchun, Baker Tech, Banyan Group, Bonvests, Bund Center, City Developments, ComfortDelgro, Credit Bureau Asia, Delfi, DX-Tech (formerly known as Avi-Tech), Ellipsiz, EnGro, ES Group, F&N, Far East Orchard, Frasers Property, Global Testing, Goodland, GuocoLand, Haw Par, Heeton, Hiap Hoe, Ho Bee Land, Hock Lian Seng, Hong Leong Finance, Hosen, Hotel Grand Central, Hotung, Indofood Agri, Jardine Matheson, Metro, OUE, Qian Hu, Raffles Medical, Sing Holdings, Singapore Land Group, SingPost, Singapore Shipping, Singapura Finance, Stamford Tyres, Straco, Straits Trading, Teho, TIH, Tuan Sing, UOA, Vibrant, Wing Tai, Yanlord, Yeo Hiap Seng and YHI. No sale trade was done.

I have participated in the following scrip dividend scheme - UOA.

I have accepted the following voluntary delisting/cash offers this month - Datapulse and Hafary.

My stake in Avarga had also been acquired via Scheme of Arrangement.

Markets seem to be facing some headwinds this month after recent good performances. I have started to deploy more cash into the market but will continue to be defensive in my portfolio positioning. With only two months left to go for this year, it is also a good time to do some review before the year draws to a close.
