My Investment Portfolio (January 2009)

I had been busy with rights issues this month, and therefore there had not been much purchases from the market. I have subscribed for Penguin, Popular, Ellipsiz, Soup Restaurant and DBS rights issues this month. As a result, DBS had appeared in my top 30 holdings list for the first time since this portfolio had been started. I do find value in the banks during the current financial crisis, and I will slowly revert them back from my underweight position to neutral.

I have converted my Elite KSB company warrants into shares, paying an exercise price of 5 cents per share. Also, I have accepted the delisting offer for my Hiap Moh shares. The proceeds will come in next month.

For next month, I will subscribe for A-REIT Preferential share offering. I will also convert my Singapura Finance company warrants into shares. The exercise price is $1 per share. There are also few other rights issues on my table, and I will review them this month and decide how much shares I wish to take up.
